The Canberra Girls’ Programming Network is a community for female students to learn about computer programming and technology through hands-on workshops. It gives girls exposure to female role models across academia, government and industry.
The workshop topic is Microcontrollers.
We’ll be using Nicta ED1 boards to make LEDs flash, text appear on screen and learn about binary numbers.
Melrose High School, Marr Street, Pearce, 2607
Female students from years 4 to 12.
No need to have coded before! But the workshop is also suitable for students who are ready for more programming challenges.
You’ll need to register to attend. Please fill out the application form here and return to ASD.DISH@defence.gov.au by Monday 30th October.
You will receive information and confirmation via email prior to the workshop day. Please be aware that places are limited. If you miss out you will be added to our mailing list to ensure that you get early notification for the next event.
